The Art of R

My friend has been disowned. Why? Stay with me. Now, my school program introduced me to a thing called R. In simple terms: R is the nightmare of every international student who has never seen a single line of programming in their lives.

But me? Oh no. Not me. I said, “I have wisdom. I have grace. I have the mind of Christ. I can do all things, through him who strengthens me, including statistics.”
So, I opened RStudio like a champion, full of faith and no fear. Ten hours into my homework later… I was still fighting for my life.

Every line of code was rejecting me like I owed it money. At one point, I was tempted to break the computer in half. Anyway, after two full attempts, ten hours, three cups of tea, and one R-related emotional breakdown later, I finally sent him my project file. I was waiting for the “wow” text.

He opened it and looked at it simply. Simply and said:
“Hmm. Trash it.”

Trash it? Days like this, only your position in Christ comes in handy.
I forgave him eventually. But I also told him his cooking reminds me of my spaghetti. He didn't laugh. I did.
